English Summer Camp | ‘Let’s communicate!’

Objetivos:
– Communicative workshop focusing on: Games; Art and Cooking.
Conteúdos:
– Developing and expanding vocabulary in a fun environment;
– Learning about certain artists and creating a ‘masterpiece’!;
– Learning some typical English recipes and creating them.
Atividades:
– A variety of interactive communicative games to introduce new vocabulary, improve grammar and pronunciation;
– Create a masterpiece;- Create a dish.

ART: individual exploration of drawing and painting with acrylics

Objetivos:
– Students to elaborate original works of art;
– Articulate those choices in English;
– Learn to look at examples of art work and relate to style and choice of medium, colour etc;
– Work and learn from each other to develop a personal style.
Conteúdos:
– All practical vocabulary associated with painting and drawing;
– Explanations of what they are doing (present continuous): I am sketching, mixing, trying, imagining, creating… expressing creative purpose in English;
– Describing what others are doing;
– Learning about artists styles in English;
– Using the comparative forms to illustrate preference between artwork;
– Learn the art of mixing colour and describing that in English and how it makes you feel.
Atividades:
– Games: pictionary, portrait game (who is who?), the art of scribble (a warmer for drawing);
– Reading a text about an artist and guessing who it is;
– Looking at art in nature outdoors in order to decide what inspires each student;
– Planning on canvas : setting the scene and choosing the background;
– How do we create the colours we want? Practical guide and mixing game.
